Session A: Advanced Measurement and Analysis Methods Using Quantum Beams and Their Application to Cultural Heritage Research: Current situation and future prospects in Asia
Chairperson: M. Tanaka (Tokyo Univ. of the Arts)

In recent years, new pulsed neutron and synchrotron radiation facilities have been constructed and operated in China. Advanced measurement and analysis methods using quantum beams (synchrotron radiation, neutrons, and muons) in Asia and examples of their application to cultural heritage research will be introduced in this session. The principles and characteristics of each measurement and analysis method will be introduced, and the possibility of applying them to cultural properties made of various materials and the effectiveness of complementary uses of quantum beams will also be discussed from an interdisciplinary point of view.
