The ISIJ will hold the international organized sessions during the 187th meeting to meet the necessity of globalization in the science and technology of iron, steel and other materials. In this session, the official language is English. The ISIJ welcomes participants from Japan and abroad to present papers at the International Organized Sessions focusing on current topics. Recent advances in analytical techniques for metallic cultural heritage (metal material) studies and their research results will be introduced in this session. Analytical techniques using synchrotron radiation, neutron, and muon are mainly presented. Additionally, principles, characteristics, and the possibilities of complementary use of these techniques will be introduced. The discussions will be made from an interdisciplinary point of view.
